一 : 美研究认为恐高症与感知偏差有关

很多人都有不同程度的恐高症。美国科学家两项最新的研究表明，恐高与过高估计垂直方向的距离有关，这一新发现为研究如何克服恐高症提供了新思路。

英国《新科学家》网站日前报道说，心理学研究领域的传统理论认为，恐高症是由于恐高的人对自己正常感知的事物过分害怕导致的。

美国加利福尼亚州立大学一个科研小组则得出不同结论认为，恐高的人对于垂直方向的距离明显估计过高，与实际距离有偏差，而且距离判断的偏差越大，恐高感就越强烈。

负责这一研究的心理学家拉塞尔·杰克逊说，恐高的人感知事物时第一反应似乎异于常人，然后他们会对所见所感作出“正常的”反应。

也就是说，假如站在一个30米高的楼顶，按照传统理论解释，恐高的人可以大概判断出正常高度，但由于过分害怕而出现恐高症状。而按照新的解释，恐高的人第一反应就是判断所在位置远远不止30米高，进而对这一情形产生正常的害怕感。

美国威廉－玛丽学院研究小组的最新研究也认为，感知上的偏差对于恐高十分关键。但他们设计的实验得出的结论认为，恐高的人是由于害怕才导致对距离感知不准，而且越是在害怕的情况下，对于距离的判断偏差就越大。

《新科学家》杂志网站分析说，不管“害怕”和“感知偏差”哪个是因哪个是果，或者并非简单的因果关系，这两项研究提供的新角度对于临床上寻找新的治疗恐高症方法都十分有益。
